I made my initial appointment with Dr Banerjee following the 5* reviews on iwantgreatcare.com. I wanted an experienced endocrinologist as I had suspected hyperaldosteronism (conn’s syndrome). Dr Banerjee is very experienced, knowledgeable and personable. He takes the time to explain everything in great detail and has been very attentive. I have appreciated this more than ever during the Covid pandemic. I would 100% recommend him.

My Gp wasn’t monitoring my thyroid properly when I became pregnant. Dr Banerjee took over my care, arranged my blood tests and changed my medication, I now have a healthy baby boy, Dr Banerjee explained everything to me and followed me up after my son was born. Couldn’t have been in safer hands. Can’t thank him enough.

Mr Banerjee is second to none. He is the most compassionate but professional consultant I’ve ever come across. He made me feel so at ease throughout my consultation and made me feel like I could put my trust in him to get some answers. Luckily all my results were normal But I would not hesitate to use or recommend him to anyone who is looking for endocrine services! If i ever need anything again he will be the first person I will contact. Huge asset to the Beaumont hospital. Thank you Mr Banerjee x Leah Scoble

My consultations with Dr Banerjee have been some of the best experiences I've had with any medical professional. He listened, he was patient and he explained everything I needed to know very clearly without being patronising. I would absolutely recommend him to friends and family. He also set me on the right path to fixing my thyroid problems, which is a bonus!

Dr Moulinath Banerjee with his MD degree came to the UK and obtained his MRCP (UK), PhD degree from Manchester University, CCT in Diabetes and Endocrinology, and MA in Clinical Education.
After has worked as a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology in Cumbria Partnership NHS Trust, Wirral University Hospitals NHS Trust and Bolton NHS Foundation Trust in the past and is currently working at Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Trust since March 2024. He has led the Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Specialist Weight Management in Bolton NHS Foundation Trust for 6 years, before stepping down recently. He was selected as a Clinical Champion of Diabetes UK in 2020 and has recently received a coveted Quality and Governance Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians - Edinburgh.
Dr Banerjee is a Senior Lecturer and Endocrine Lead at Edge Hill University Medical School, Honorary Clinical Lecturer in the Centre for the Endocrinology and Diabetes Research Group at the University of Manchester. He is an enthusiastic teacher, running a course for trainees in Diabetes and Endocrinology for the last 14 years.
Dr Banerjee’s main research interest is in cardiovascular disease in patients with pre-diabetes and endocrine diseases. His other interests include cricket, photography, reading books and travelling.
